Robin Hagen wins Silver at Swiss Championships!
The Swiss Championships were held on a demanding track in the VIP-Resort of Zermatt. One month after the World Cup Finals, it was hard for the Athletes to stay focused for this important race. Robin Hagen managed to do his job absolutely brilliant and showed everybody what a great athlete he is! While Nick Beer and Emilie Siegenthaler destroyed the field in the elite-categories, Robin stayed close to the winner and local hero Nicolas Gspan in the junior field. Silver medal for Robin Hagen and the Tomac Factory Racing Team! In the 4X Race, Adrian Weiss finished on the fifth place after messing up his start in the semi final and winning the small final.
Die Schweizermeisterschaften fanden auf einer anspruchsvollen Strecke im Nobelkurort Zermatt statt. Einen Monat nach dem Weltcupfinal, erforderte es viel Disziplin, um für dieses wichtige Rennen konzentriert zu bleiben. At the last race of the IXS Swiss Cup 2008, Joseph Smith wins again with a fantastic time! The conditions in Bellwald were extremely difficult, with very cold temperatures and melting snow and ice on the course. Joseph placed second in the Elite category, only 2.7 seconds behind Nick Beer. This weekend, the Tomac Factory Racing Team will race at two events at the same time! The legendary Red Bull Jungfrau Stafette through whole Switzerland will have it’s downhill stage in Fiesch, right on the other side of the valley of Bellwald, where the IXS Swiss Cup finals will be raced. This means, our riders will be practicing and racing in both places on the same day.
Dieses Wochenende started das Tomac Factory Racing Team an zwei Events gleichzeitig. Die legendäre Red Bull Jungfrau Stafette hat ihre Downhill-Etappe in Fiesch, auf der gegenüberliegenden Talseite von Bellwald, wo das IXS Swiss Cup Finale gefahren wird. Somit werden unsere Fahrer zwischen Bellwald und Fiesch hin- und herpendeln, und am selben Tag in beiden Orten trainieren und racen.

Another great success for the Tomac Factory Racing Team: Joseph Smith wins the IXS European Cup Final in Leogang, Austria and takes the overall title with a huge lead! Once again his time would have placed him in the top 5 in the Elite category. Robin Hagen ranked 5th in Leogang, which put him into 4th place overall. Victory as well for the Weiss brothers: Adrian and Mirco took the first two spots at the BMX-Cup in Oligate, Italy!

The first two days of training in Schladming brought us a mix of rain and sun. Our riders stayed on their bikes, prepared well and are definitely ready for tomorrows world cup finals. Joseph Smith ranked 19th in today’s timed training session.

A very eventful time with loads of work led us to the World cup finals in Schladming, Austria. The juniors have been training in Schladming for two weeks while Adrian and Mirco had some more top results at local races and Claudio was working with our partners on future plans. Junior Rider Tamryn Murrel was the only Tomac Factory Racing Team rider at the australian round of the world cup. He finished in 52nd position after sitting in the hotseat for a while. The rest of the team is training hard to prepare for the world cup finals in Schladming, Austria.

The Tomac Factory Racing Juniors proved this weekend that they can perform in cold weather and difficult conditions! Joseph Smith won the IXS Swiss Cup in Davos with an incredible time that would have given him second place in the Elite category! Another great result as well for Robin Hagen and Laurie Dinham, placing 5th and 7th. Also, Adrian Weiss added another Podium at the DSM Series in Bludenz.
Die Tomac Factory Racing Junioren bewiesen dieses Wochenende, dass sie auch in Kälte und unter schwierigen Bedingungen ihre Leistung bringen. Joseph was on fire today at the european downhill cup in chatel. He smoked his competition after winning the seeding run on saturday! Just as exciting is Robin Hagen’s 4th place, which is the first swiss spot and the first spot of the younger age in the junior’s class! For an even more sensational team result, Laurie Dinham placed 5th! After winning the first european cup in scuol, Rhys Willemse was charging again hard, but broke his collar bone in the seeding run and is now deciding whether to stay in Europe or to go home to Australia.

The World Cup in Bromont was a brutal test for every single rider. Every little mistake would send you off the bike. Joseph Smith managed to stay on the bike and finished in 31st position as 4th junior.
Der Weltcup in Bromont war ein brutaler test für jeden einzelnen Fahrer. Der kleinste Fehler bedeutete sofortiger Sturz. Joseph Smith schaffte es, auf dem Bike zu bleiben, und wurde als vierter Junior 31ster.
Big thunderstorms changed todays practice schedule and challenged the riders on the big muddy rocks. Nonetheless, the track was awesome to ride. 4X practice had to be cancelled again due to a too soft track.
Starke Gewitter veränderten den heutigen Trainingsplan und forderten unsere Fahrer auf den grossen schlammigen Felspassagen. Trotzdem war es ein Riesenspass, die Strecke bei diesen Bedingungen zu fahren. Das 4X Training musste wiederum wegen zu weicher Piste abgesagt werden. Der arme Adrian muss sich wiederum einen Tag gedulden, bis er zum Zuge kommt.

Once again, our juniors had to find out how hard it is to prove themselves on the highest racing level. Although their race preparation went very well, little mistakes threw them out of the race. Joseph Smith was able to qualify for the finals and proved again that he is ready for the pro elite category, finishing as fourth junior. Adrian Weiss managed to get into the quarter finals of the 4X and finished in 16th position.
Einmal mehr mussten unsere Junioren den harten Wind im Weltup kennenlernen. Trotz einer sehr guten Vorbereitung haben kleine Fehler unsere Jungs aus dem Rennen geschmissen. Joseph Smith schaffte es in’s Final und bewies ein weiteres Mal, dass er für die Eliteklasse gerüstet ist. Er wurde vierter der Junioren. Adrian Weiss schaffte es im 4X bis in’s Viertelfinal und wurde 16ter.
The second practice day brought the same muddy downhill pictures as the first, and another cancelled 4X practice. The downhill track was even more fun to ride. Right now, the sun is out, and we’re hoping for a sunny race tomorrow.
Der zweite Trainingstag brachte die selben schlammigen Downhillbilder, wie der erste, und ein weiteres abgesagtes 4X Training. Die Downhillstrecke machte heute sogar noch mehr Spass als gestern. Im Moment scheint die Sonne, und wir hoffen auf ein sonniges Rennen morgen.
First day of practice saw the riders plowing through deep ruts in the mud. The fast track suffered in the rain and turned into a very slow one after only a few hours. Organizers are now working on the course to get it ready again. Riding was lots of fun for the Athletes, washing the bikes and clothes wasn’t.
Am ersten Trainingstag pflügten die Fahrer durch tiefe Rillen im Schlamm. Der schnelle Kurs litt unter dem Regen und verwandelte sich bald in einen sehr langsamen. Die Organisatoren arbeiten nun auf der Strecke, um sie für morgen wieder fit zu bekommen. Trotzdem war das Training für unsere Fahrer ein Riesenspass, - das Waschen der Bikes und der Kleider weniger.

Joseph Smith third at british nationals, now off to Canada
Joseph Smith placed third in juniors at the british national championships. World Champion Josh Bryceland won, Sam Dale got second, just 0.048 seconds before Joseph.
The Team is now flying to Canada for the next two rounds of the World Cup. The races will be held in Mont Sainte Anne and in Bromont, both in Quebec.
Joseph Smith wurde bei den britischen Meisterschaften dritter, hinter dem Weltmeister Josh Bryceland und nur 0.048 Sekunden hinter Sam Dale.

Tomac Factory Racing Juniors RULE first European Cup!
Rhys Willemse and Joseph Smith took the first two spots on the juniors podium at the first IXS European Downhill Cup in Scuol! After practicing on a very dusty track, the race was held in pouring rain. Rhys and Joe loved it and took home the win and second place for the Tomac Factory Racing Team! Robin Hagen rounded up the team result with an 8th place. Team manager Claudio Caluori qualified in second spot, but could not quite handle the pouring rain as the juniors did. Still, he’s happy with his 5th place in the pro class.
Rhys Willemse und Joseph Smith holen einen Doppelsieg für das Tomac Factory Racing Team! Nach dem Training auf der sehr staubigen Strecke in Scuol fand das Rennen im strömenden Regen statt. Unsere Junioren wünschten sich solche Bedingungen, kamen bestens damit zurecht, und holten den Sieg und den zweiten Platz bei den Junioren. Robin Hagen ergänzte das tolle Team-Weekend mit einem 8ten Platz. Team Manager Claudio Caluori qualifizierte sich als zweiter, konnte im Final aber nicht so gut mit den nassen Bedingungen umgehen, wie die Junioren. Mit dem fünften Rang bei der Elite ist er aber trotzdem glücklich!
The Champ Camp in the beautiful Scuol was another great experience for everyone involved. 35 riders pinned it on the very dusty course and prepared for the first IXS European Cup which will be held next week. Not only were we enjoying the classic downhill track, we also did some freeriding and went for a swim in the cool Lai Nair. Family Neuenschwander supplied us with traditional swiss cheese raclette to make sure we wouldn’t go to bed hungry. After the riders had gone home, the wind picked up for ten minutes and destroyed the Team’s tent… Another challenge to get it upright again for the race next week. Das Champ Camp im wundervollen Scuol war einmal wieder ein Erlebniss für alle Beteiligten. 35 Fahrer gaben auf der staubigen Strecke ihr bestes und bereiteten sich auf den IXS Downhillcup vor, welcher in einer Woche stattfinden wird. Wir nutzten aber nicht nur die klassische scuoler Downhillstrecke, - wir nutzten die langen Tage für Freerides und einen Sprung in den kühlen Lai Nair. Die Käserei Neuenschwander aus Oberrindal versorgte uns reichlich mit ihrem Appenzeller Raclette, damit wir nicht hungrig schlafen gehen mussten. Nachdem die Fahrer nach Hause gefahren waren, kam für 10 Minuten ein stürmischer Wind auf und zerstörte das Tomac Team Zelt. - Eine weitere Herausforderung, es bis zum nächsten Wochenende wieder auf die Beine zu bekommen. Rhys Willemse did it! He managed to stay on his bike for the first time of the season, and finished in 9th place! In the most important race of the season, he stayed cool and focused, even after having to start twice, because of a rider crashing in front of him near the finish line. Rhys went up to the start again, and nobody expected him to do it again, - but he did! - Sensational!
Joe Smith, one of the fastest junior riders, was too nervous and had to forget his dream of the junior world champions title, finishing 11th. With his strong ambition, we know that he will fight for revenge in the upcoming races.
New teamrider Tamryn Murrel finished 14th and swiss junior Robin Hagen in 50th place.
Rhys Willemse hat es geschafft! Zum ersten Mal in dieser Saison blieb er auf seinem Bike und wurde neunter! Im wichtigsten Rennen der Saison blieb er cool und konzentriert, sogar nachdem er wegen eines Sturzes des vor ihm gestarteten Fahrers kurz vor dem Ziel abbremsen, und nochmal starten musste. Rhys fuhr zum Start hoch, und niemand erwartete von ihm, dass er nochmal eine solche Fahrt hinlegen würde. - Aber er tat es!
Joseph Smith, einer der schnellsten Junioren, war zu nervös, und musste nach seinem Lauf auf Rang 11 den Traum des Junioren-Weltmeistertitels vergessen. Wir wissen aber, dass er mit seinem Ehrgeiz für die Revanche in den nächsten Rennen sorgen wird.
Der neue Teamfahrer Tamryn Murrel wurde 14ter, unser Schweizer Junior 50ster.
Latest news straight from the qualifying run: Joseph Smith qualified sixth and is looking forward to go even faster on saturday, when it really counts. The extremely difficult track challenged all the riders to even stay on their bike. Most of the riders crashed in their qualifying run. As the official results are not out yet, we dcan only guess on Rhys’ and Robin’s results: Rhys somewhere between 10 and 20, Robin somewhere around 40, including passing the guy who started in front of him. Auf der extrem schwierigen Strecke waren die Fahrer gefordert, um überhaupt auf dem Bike zu bleiben. Viele Fahrer stürzten im Qualilauf. After two days of rain in Commezzadura, we had our first day of sun today at the world championships. The very steep and technical track is a challenge for every rider in todays and yesterdays training. Our riders seem to love it. Qualifying will be on thursday. Nach zwei Tagen im Regen zeigte sich heute die Sonne in Commezzadura an der Weltmeisterschaft. Der sehr steile und technische Kurs ist für jeden Fahrer eine Herausforderung. The Red Bull Trailfox was a a completely new experience for the Tomac Factory Racing Team. Used to the tense atmosphere at world cup races, it was lots of fun riding the three different tracks in Flims together with 300 freeriders, who just wanted to enjoy mountainbiking together. For once, results were not too important, it was more about having fun on the bike, together, without being too serious. After all, at the race, everybody went for it! Der Red Bull Trailfox war eine komplett neue Erfahrung für das Tomac Factory Racing Team. An die angespannte Atmosphäre der Weltcuprennen gewöhnt, war es eine Erleichterung, ein Wochenende mit 300 gleichgesinnten Freeridern die drei verschiedenen Trails in Flims zu geniessen. Für einmal waren Resultate nicht ganz so wichtig, es ging darum, zusammen Spass zu haben. Natürlich gab am Rennen trotzdem jeder sein bestes. Claudio wurde Gesamtklassement vierter, Joseph achter. After coming back from the World Cup in Fort William, Adrian Weiss made it into the Finals at the Zermatt 4X Cup in Winterthur and placed 4th behind Vetsch, Kiener and Schmid.
Gerade vom Weltcup in Schottland zurück, schaffte es Adrian Weiss beim Zermatt 4X Cup in’s Finale und wurde vierter hinter Vetsch, Kiener und Schmid.

Selected Tomac Factory Racers at World Championships
Robin Hagen for Switzerland, Joseph Smith for the UK and Rhys Willemse for Australia will represent the Tomac Factory Racing Team at the World Championships next week in Val di Sole, Italy. All three junior riders have been selected for being one of the best in their country. Claudio will be on the course to coach the team riders.
Robin Hagen für die Schweiz, Joseph Smith für Britanien und Rhys Willemse für Australien, werden das Tomac Factory Racing Team an den Weltmeisterschaften im Val di Sole, Italien, repräsentieren. Die drei Junioren wurden selektioniert, weil sie zu den schnellsten ihres Landes gehören. Claudio wird ebenfalls vor Ort sein, um die Jungs zu betreuen.
We’re going uphill! Joseph qualified as first junior on 24th place. On the way to attack the worlds pro field in the final, Joseph crashed missing a line. Next race comes soon. Adrian Weiss was the only swiss pilot in the 4X Final and endet up on the 24th place.
Es geht aufwärts! Joseph qualifizierte sich als erster Junior auf Platz 24. Auf dem Weg, das Elitefeld zu im Final zu stürmen, stürzte er aber. Das nächste Rennen kommt bald! Our first practice in Fort William confirmed our impression from course walking: the track is very rough and demanding. -Perfect for our Tomac Primer Bikes! They felt super! The photographers were not able to get a picture of us in the first training session, so you will have to wait for pictures till tomorrow.
Unser erstes Training in Fort William bestätigte unseren Eindruck von der Streckeninspektion: der Kurs ist sehr ruppig und anspruchsvoll. Also genau richtig für unsere Tomac Primer Bikes. Diese fühlten sich im Training super an! Die Fotografen schafften es nicht, uns im ersten Training zu fotografieren, also müsst ihr noch bis morgen auf Fotos aus Fort William warten.
After 26 hours of almost non-stop driving from Andorra to Scotland, we arrived in Fort William and won the prize for beeing the first team to check in at the race. The organizer gave us a hand full of jelly beans.
What made our junior riders even more excited, was Sam Hill staying in the same house, next door to ours. First thing was to wash our Fiat’s and get them nice and shiny, to build our booth, and to get the bikes ready for action. With the rough course in Fort William, the bikes need to work perfectly.
A very special course with very special conditions has challenged the downhill and 4X riders on the first day of practice in Vallnord, Andorra. The extremely narrow course developped to one big rut that had to be ridden from top to bottom. The continuous rain in the last 15 days in Andorra made the 4X track very soft and didn’t allow big jumps.
Ein sehr spezieller Kurs in sehr speziellen Bedingungen forderte heute die Downhiller und 4Xer in Vallnord, Andorra, heraus. Die extrem enge Downhillstrecke entwickelte sich in Kürze zu einer langen Rille, der man von oben bis unten zu folgen hatte. Der seit 15 Tagen fallende Regen weichte die 4X Strecke derart auf, dass keine grossen Sprünge mehr machbar waren.
45 kids from all over Switzerland came to Wiriehorn to prepare for the upcoming IXS Swiss Cup race season together with the Tomac Factory Racing Team.
Joseph Smith, Laurie Dinham, Rhys Willemse, Claudio Caluori plus the guest pro racers Lars Peyer (Suspension Center) and Thomas Ryser (Thömus Racing Team) were showing the boys and girls how to go fast on the demanding course of Wiriehorn.
The excited riders were learning a lot and clearly improved their skills in the two days of riding. They all went home happy and are looking forward to attack at the upcoming races.
Lutz Weber, Freddy Hunziker and Noëmi Derron improved the most and therefore won the three wildcards for the Red Bull Trailfox on 13-15 June.
Adrian Weiss wins DSM in Winterthur
Adrian Weiss took another win in the DSM series on his home BMX track in Winterthur.
He managed to win all of his four heats with a comfortable lead. His brother Mirco couldn’t race because of a splenic rupture suffered one week ago while training.
Robin Hagen first Swiss rider at the German IXS Cup in Winterberg
In order to qualify for the swiss junior worlds team, Robin Hagen went to theDirt Masters Festival in Winterberg. He needed to prove his speed on an international level. This is what he did by racing into seventh position and beating the rest of the swiss juniors!
The team is now driving its Fiats to Andorra, where it will compete at the second round of the world cup.
Tomac Champ Camp:
45 junge Mountainbiker trafen am Freitag Abend im Diemtigtal ein, um sich über das Wochenende zusammen mit dem Tomac Factory Racing Team auf die bevorstehende IXS Swiss Cup Saison vorzubereiten. Joseph Smith, Rhys Willemse, Laurie Dinham, Claudio Caluori, sowie die Gastprofis Lars Peyer (Suspension Center) und Thomas Ryser (Thömus Veloshop) zeigten den begeisterten Teilnehmern, wie sie die Strecke am Wiriehorn noch schneller meistern können. Die Steigerung der Jungs und Mädchen waren schon währed dem Wochenende deutlich sichtbar.
Für die grössten Forschritte wurde Lutz Weber, Fredy Hunziker und Noëmi Derron mit einer Wildcard für den Red Bull Trailfox vom 13.-15. Juni belohnt.
Die Teilnehmer kehrten glücklich nach Hause zurück und freuen sich nun darauf, das gelernte im Rennen einzusetzen.
Adrian Weiss gewinnt weiteren Lauf zur DSM in Winterthur
Auf seiner Heimstrecke dominierte Adrian Weiss aus Nürensdorf das Feld der Cruiserklasse bei der DSM auf der BMX Bahn in Winterthur. In alles vier Läufen konnte Adrian seine Konkurrenten klar distanzieren. Sein Bruder Mirco musste wegen einem im Training erlittenen Milzriss auf den Start verzichten.
Robin Hagen bester Schweizer Junior am IXS German Downhill Cup in Winterberg
Um sich für das WM Kader zu empfehlen, startete Robin Hagen zusammen mit den anderen Schweizer Junioren am stark besetzten Dirt Masters Festival in Winterberg. Robin musste zeigen dass er international mithalten konnte. Dies hat er mit einem 7. Rang bestens gemeistert, und platzierte sich zudem als schnellster schweizer Junior!
Das Team fährt nun in seinen Fiats zum zweiten Weltcup in Andorra.
The demand for our Champ Camp is so big that we decided to hold another one in Scuol from 27 June to 29 June. This is one Week after the World Championships and one week before the first IXS European Cup in Scuol. At the Champ Camp, everybody gets to ride with the Pros and prepares for the upcoming race.
Aufgrund der grossen Nachfrage führen wir ein zweites Champ Camp durch, und zwar vom 27. bis 29. Juni in Scuol. Das ist eine Woche nach den Weltmeisterschaften und eine Woche vor dem ersten IXS European Cup in Scuol. Am Champ Camp kann jedermann mit den Profis trainieren und sich auf das kommende Rennen vorbereiten.
Rhys Willemse and Laurie Dinham raced at the Austrian championships this weekend. Rhys came down in his first run with the fifth fastest time in the ELITE CLASS. In the second run he rolled his tire off the rim. Adrian Weiss and Robin Hagen raced at the Swiss 4X Cup. The race was held in dual mode, and Adrian was happy to end up in fourth position. The team is now heading to Wiriehorn for the Tomac Champ Camp. Rhys Willemse und Laurie Dinham fuhren am vergangenen Wochenende an der Österreichischen Meisterschaft. Rhys Willemse klassierte sich im ersten Lauf auf dem fünften Platz bei den ELITE HERREN. In seinem zweiten Lauf sprang allerdings sein Hinterreifen von der Felge.Arian Weiss und Robin Hagen fuhren den ersten Lauf des 4X Cups. Das Rennen wurde im Dual-Modus ausgetragen, Adrian konnte bis auf den 4 Rang vorpreschen.Das Team reist nun an’s Wiriehorn im Berner Oberland zum Tomac Champ Camp.
The first World Cup in Maribor is behind us, and the Tomac Factory Racing Team has caused some stir with it’s new appearance including the brand new Fiat Scudo and Ducato, its big white booth and its all white Tomac Primer downhill bikes.
Our results were not too spectacular, since it was the first world cup for most of the juniors on the team. They’ve all learned a lot from the weekend and are now heading to the bikepark of Semmering in Austria to train for the upcoming Worldcups in Andorra and Scotland.
The junior Champ Camp will take place next weekend in Wiriehorn, Switzerland 23-25 May, we’re expecting 50 riders to be part of it.
Der erste Weltcup in Maribor liegt hinter uns, und das Tomac Factory Racing Team hat durch seinen Auftritt mit dem brandneuen Fiat Scudo und Ducato, dem leuchtend weissen Stand und den weissen Tomac Primer Downhillbikes für Aufsehen gesorgt.
Die Resultate waren nicht spektakulär, weil es für die meisten Junioren im Team der erste Weltcup überhaupt war. Jedoch hat das ganze Team viel gelernt, und freut sich auf die kommenden Weltcups in Andorra und Schottland. Die Australier Rhys Willemse und Laurie Dinham trainieren in der Zwischenzeit im Bikepark Semmering.
Das Champ Camp findet vom 23. bis 25. Mai am Wiriehorn statt, es werden 50 Teilnehmer erwartet.

Joseph Smith wins for the Tomac Factory Racing Team!
We are very happy to announce the first two race victories of the Tomac Factory Racing Team.
Joseph Smith won the first round of the british national series in the junior category. He managed to take home the win from Scotland on his brand new Tomac Primer after a rather muddy weekend. Joseph is now traveling to Switzerland to meet the rest of the team.
Adrian Weiss took the win at the second round of the Swiss BMX Cup in the Cruiser Class. Adrian and his brother Mirco were racing their Tomac Cartel X Bikes, Mirco endet up in 5th place. After just finishing his service at the swiss army, Adrian seems to be in very good shape.
The team will now prepare for the first world cup in maribor, slovenia, 10./11. May on the classic dh track of Todtnau.
Zwei Siege für das Tomac Factory Racing Team!
Mit grosser Freude dürfen wir von den ersten zwei Siegen des Tomac Factory Racing Teams berichten.
Joseph Smith gewann den ersten Lauf zur britischen Meisterschaft der Junioren auf seinem nagelneuen Tomac Primer. Das schlammige Wochenende in Schottland war ein willkommener Test für Joseph, bevor er nun in die Schweiz reist, um den Rest des Teams zu treffen.
Adrian und Mirco Weiss bestritten auf ihren Tomac 4X Bikes den zweiten Lauf zur BMX-DSM. Nach soeben abgeschlossener Rekrutenschule konnte Adrian bereits einen Sieg einfahren. Mirco hielt ebenfalls vorne mit und wurde fünfter.
Das Tomac Factory Racing Team bereitet sich nun auf der Klassiker-Strecke in Todtnau auf den Weltcup in Maribor, Slovenien, am 10./11. Mai, vor.

Joseph Smith first Junior at the Pro Downhill!
For the first time, the Tomac Factory Racing Team has come together for the Sea Otter Classic in California.
The american season opener is one of the media highlights for US-mountainbikers. While Rhys Willemse (AUS), Robin Hagen and Mirco Weiss (SWI) preparing the season at home, Joseph Smith (GBR), Laurie Dinham (AUS), Adrian Weiss and Claudio Caluori (SWI) flew to sunny California to meet the media and the competition.
Not expected at the Sea Otter Classic, we found beautiful weather and are now able to send you the first spectacular pictures.
The special downhill course at Laguna Seca can’t be compared with a world cup. However, the Tomac Factory Racing Team took home some exciting results: Joseph Smith was the fastest junior at the pro downhill race!
It’s the first year to be on an international racing team for the six young team riders around captain Claudio Caluori. They are very excited about their new Tomac Bikes, the TSG protectors, the Kenda Tires and the Innippu clothing. They are now flying into Zurich, where the team will hold foto and film shootings for its sponsors, as well as testing all the new bikes and suspension, before it leaves to the first world cup in Maribor, Slovenia.
Two weeks later, the Tomac Factory Racing Team organizes the Champ Camp 2008 in Wiriehorn, Switzerland, where everybody can ride with the world cup riders and profit from their tips.

Joseph Smith erster Junior beim Elite Downhill!
Zum ersten Mal vereinte sich das Tomac Factory Racing Team an der Sea Otter Classic in Kalifornien.
Der amerikanische Saisonstart ist der mediale Höhepunkt für US-Mountainbiker. Während sich Rhys Willemse (AUS), Robin Hagen und Mirco Weiss (CH) in ihrer Heimat auf die kommende Saison vorbereiteten, trafen sich Joseph Smith (GBR), Laurie Dinham (AUS), Adrian Weiss und Claudio Caluori (CH) im sonnigen Kalifornien, um sich den Medien und der Konkurrenz zu stellen.
Wider Erwarten trafen wir auf bestes Wetter, und so können wir euch schon einige spektakuläre Bilder liefern.
Die speziellen Bedingungen an der Sea Otter Classic können nicht mit dem Weltcup verglichen werden. Trotzdem kann das Tomac Factory Racing Team schon am ersten Event eine positive Bilanz ziehen: Mit Joseph Smith stellt es den schnellsten Junioren im Downhill der Eliteklasse!
Für die 6 Jungen Teamfahrer um Captain Claudio Caluori ist es die erste Saison in einem internationalen Rennteam. Die Jungs sind begeistert von den Tomac Bikes, der Innippu Bekleidung, den TSG Protektoren und den Kenda Reifen.
In den kommenden Tagen nun treffen sämtliche Teamfahrer in Zürich ein. Das Team wird einige Foto- und Video Shootings durchführen, und sein Material ausgiebig testen, bevor es zu ersten Weltcup in Maribor, Slovenien reist.
Zwei Wochen nach dem ersten Weltcup organisiert das Tomac Factory Racing Team das Champ Camp 2008 am Wiriehorn. Am Champ Camp kann jedermann mit dem Team trainieren und dabei von den Tipps der Weltcup-Rennfahrer profitieren.
Wir können den Start der Weltcupsaison kaum erwarten!
